Dorothy Bigger
Watercolors

Dorothy E Bigger (1914-1996) is recognized as part of the unique style of watercolor known as ‘The California School’. However, she experimented with whatever style, palette, medium or subject that inspired her. As a result, Dorothy created an unusually diverse body of work in her relatively short, but prolific, painting career.
Dorothy never painted from photographs. The natural world spoke to her directly. She echoed that voice in her watercolors.
